"Pale Gold" Old Milwaukee Extra Dry Beer empty flat top beer can by the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company, Milwaukee, WI. The brewery was established in 1849 by August Krug; Joseph Schlitz married his widow, Anna Maria, and changed the brewery's name to Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company in 1858; the brewery survived Prohibition and became the largest producer of beer in the United States; sold to Stroh in 1982.
