The brewery was established in 1829 by David Jungling when it took over Eagle; changed its name to Yuengling in 1873. It is the oldest operating brewery in the United States. This is an exceptionally sharp can; super sharp colors that were protected by a transparent shield for many years; cleanbottom lid, small bit of tarnish at top of side panel, minor tarnish on top lid; virtually no markings on body of can; grade 1/1+.
