old. This can is from the Rochester Brewing Co. of Rochester, NY. Period is the
early 1950s, right after the brewery changed their logos and advertising design
but before they merged with Standard Brewing (circa 1955) to become the
Standard Rochester Brewing Co.
Condition: Overall
condition is excellent. I would rate it near mint except that there is a crease
and a small scratch on one face and a larger dent on the other face. Neither is

Old Topper "Golden" Ale empty cone top beer can by the Rochester Brewing Co., Inc., Rochester, NY. The brewery was established in 1875; merged with Standard in 1956; ceased operations in 1970. An outstanding can; sharp colors; clean seam, crown and bottom; no adverse markings on body of can; grade 1/1+,close to one plus. This is the most perfect cone top beer can in what has been my vast collection. An example is pictured on page 178-8 of the USBC book.
